Nasim Marashi (b1984, Tehran, Iran) is a journalist, writer and scriptwriter based in Iran. She started her career in journalism in 2007 and from there delved into story and script writing. She won the Premier Prix in Bayhaqi Story Prize (2014) for the short story, “Nakhjir”, and the Premier Prix in Tehran Story Prize (2015) for the short story, “Rood”. Her novel “fall is the Last Season of the Year” was published in 2015 and was selected as the Best Novel of the Year in the 8th Jalal-e Al-e-Ahmad Prize. This novel has already reached its 20th edition in 2 years. It has been translated in Italian (Ponte33 publication). Marashi’s second novel, “harrow” (working title) is being published by Cheshmeh publication. She started scriptwriting since 2013. She is the co-writer of the feature film, “Avalanch” (2015), writer of the short movie “Haven” (2015) and the documentary “20th Circuit Suspects” (2017).
